The making
Made slower than a factory, on purpose.
Karoo & Co. works with a handful of small workshops across the Karoo — a potter outside Sutherland, a leatherworker in the Camdeboo, a weaver near Nieu-Bethesda. None of them can fill a container ship, and that’s the point of buying from them.
Time
A bowl spends a week between the wheel, the trim, the glaze and two firings — most of it just sitting, drying, waiting its turn.
Small batches
A dozen pieces in a kiln load, not a thousand on a line. Every load is a little different from the last.
Materials that cost more
Reclaimed clay and offcut olive wood aren't cheaper than the mass-produced version — they're what was worth keeping.

Delivery
Courier to major centres in 2–4 working days, R95 flat, free over R1 000.
Outlying towns run 5–7 days through a regional courier partner — you'll see the estimate before you check out.
Returns
14 days to send anything back, unused and in its original packaging.
You cover return shipping unless the piece arrived faulty — then it's on us, no argument.
Payment
On a live build this runs through a South African card and EFT gateway.
