The founder
You'll be dealing with me, not an account manager.
I’m Ethan Olivier. I started WebOn in Johannesburg to build websites for businesses run by the person who answers the phone: restaurants, salons, tradespeople, professional practices and small shops.
I kept seeing the same thing. A good business whose only front door is an Instagram grid, and a customer scrolling it who cannot find a price, an address, or a way to book. The work is excellent. The page in front of the customer never shows it.
WebOn is what I’m doing about it. I build you a working version of your site before you pay anything, because the fastest way to trust a web company is to see your own site first. I have no client projects on record yet, so this site and the four samples are what I can show you.

What WebOn is for
The aim
Give every owner-run business in South Africa a front door that matches the standard of its work.
That starts with the website: your prices, your hours, your work, and a way to reach you that does not depend on someone being free to answer the phone.
How I work
Build it first. Charge for it after.
Every project starts with a preview I build before any money moves, and nothing is owed if you walk away. If a piece of technology does not fix something I can point at in your business, I do not bring it up.
The people behind it
Who else you'll deal with, and what they handle.
You deal with me first. I read every enquiry that comes through this site myself and I take the calls booked on this site, and when a conversation needs a view other than mine, you meet Liam and Declan.
Liam Somers
Second opinion
Liam is who joins the conversation when you would rather talk it through than type it out: where your customers come from now, and what that is costing you.
Declan Barry
Second opinion
Declan is who I bring in when you are not sure what you need yet. Expect straight answers, including that you might not need much.
What you can check
Everything on this site, you can open and judge yourself.
Three things you can look at right now, without speaking to anyone:
- Four sample builds you can open and useOpen the previews
- Six checks every build passes before it goes liveRead the checks
- The site you're reading right nowYou're already looking at it
Your turn
Enough about me, let's look at your business.
Tell me what your business does and I’ll build the preview myself. If you don’t want it, that is the end of it and you owe nothing.
